About

I play drums, marimba, and vibraphone, and own a small studio based in Fort Worth, Texas. I’m interested in working with songwriters, film makers, composers and anyone who is looking for percussion and creative textures added to their songs.

With a B.A. in percussion performance from the University of North Texas, I have worked in Dallas/Fort Worth, NYC & Nashville for the past 20 years. My past studies included an intensive in African rhythm in Ghana, West Africa, which I apply to many of my personal recordings. I have toured with and/or recorded tracks for the following artists: Brenda Lee (Rock n Roll Hall of Fame), Freedy Johnston (Rolling Stone Songwriter of the Year), Lorrie Morgan (Country Music Hall of Fame), Kim Richey, Rod Picott, Kevin Gordon, Mando Saenz, Amanda Shires, Garrison Starr, Kevin Gordon, Chant, Mark Goodwin plus many others.  Venues and shows including The Grand Ole Opry, The David Letterman Show, Bob Harris BBC Country Show & The Ryman Auditorium.

While trained in classical music and a lifelong student of jazz, I am best known for supporting songwriters by finding the right part in the studio and providing a solid foundation for their live shows.  I currently engineer all recordings in my studio and play percussion on all tracks. I contribute to library music, original projects, jazz trios, and my blend of rhythmic inspired music.

My Goal at This Point in Life

is to continue to contribute to music, to supporting artists through playing drums & percussion, and to continue to ride the wave of where this music business takes us.
